The Poetry of Brian Langley
Can you see the soft leaves falling?
Do you hear the songbirds calling?
In the lush green forest tree tops
That shades the sunlightís glare.
Do you see the orchids showing?
By the maidenhair fern growing.
In the misty gentle raindrops,
And thereís beauty everywhere.
Can you hear the axe blows ringing ?
Do you hear the saw blade singing ?
Do you hear the crash of thunder
As the forest giants fall ?
Can you see the forest dwindling
As itís all reduced to kindling ?
Do you ever stop to wonder
At the reason for it all ?
You can read all of the poem (4 verses) in my booklet, "The Forest and other verses"
